All About Our Clocks

History Meets Art

Available for sale are gorgeous pendulum clocks from around the 1850s to 1920s. They have been painstakingly and lovingly preserved and restored to keep their history alive.

You need to understand that we buy clocks which are sold for their parts. They are clocks that horologists don't want to spend time on because they are so much work that there is little profit in it. These clocks might be missing a finial, a medallion, column, glass, veneer, or even whole pieces. They might be broken and coming a part, have a broken mainspring, missing a gear or, most likely, multiple problems. Instead of spending time and money to fix it, most dealers will resell it for parts. They are still expensive when sold for parts. You can check out antique clocks on eBay.

Here at Timeless Treasures, we take these clocks and tenderly clean, oil, fix, replace, create, repair and restore them, trying to save as much of the original clock as we can. If the clock is so damaged or been destroyed from its original state, we still try to restore it. We have taken clocks that were painted brown, gold, white, etc. and stripped them to how they should have looked when they were new. Some of the clocks we get are completely in pieces and we have to rebuild them from the ground up. We have improved on some restoration features like using screws where nails have failed to hold the clock together or repaired work someone else did like putting screws through the front of the clock where they can be seen. If at all possible, we do everything we can to keep each clock as original as possible but still have it look like a timeless treasure.

We learned from the best and have also improved on some of their techniques. We have had to learn new methods to fix them that others wouldn’t waste their time doing. Again, we spend more time on each clock than any horologist would spend, but we do it out of love for clocks and their history. Just imagine where these clocks from 1850 to the early 1900s have traveled and what they have witnessed. We find it fascinating! We hope you appreciate the story they have to tell.

All clocks have had their cases cleaned and restored where necessary. Parts have been replaced if needed. Movements have been cleaned, oiled, repaired, timed and set for BPH (beats per hour). These clocks are over 100-150 years old! We cannot guarantee accurate time on these clocks. They were never an accurate timepiece. We have done everything we can to ensure they work, but we are selling them AS IS. Shipping has NOT been included in the price.
